Who We Are
The Association of Venezuelans in Indiana (AVI) is a non-profit organization (501c3) based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Our goal is to spread the culture, art, history, and values of the Venezuelan communities in Indiana to show how beautiful our people are.
One of our objectives is to become a link between all Venezuelans that are currently living in Indiana and other Hispanic and American communities.
We want to promote the social and cultural growth of the different Hispanic groups of Indiana through our beautiful country’s traditions and cultural activities, showing why Venezuelans are recognized worldwide as warm, noble, and lovely people.
What We Do
We are an organization that was born as a non-profit project to help Venezuelans In Indiana connect with elements of their culture even without being in their country and to make known the values and traditions of a country as beautiful as Venezuela. We work hard to promote Venezuelan culture, allowing Americans and other Hispanics to learn about the social and historical roots of our community.
Mission
Our mission is to connect Venezuelans residing in Indiana with other local and Hispanic groups to promote and support Venezuelan culture, with the purpose of spreading the social, historical, and artistic values of our community.
Vision
Our vision is to become a globally recognized organization that enhances the priceless values of a beautiful and rich country and establishes relationships with other similar organizations to promote all Hispanic and American communities’ growth.
Our Culture
Venezuelan culture is characterized by its indigenous and Spanish roots, as well as regional Caribbean and Andean influences. Venezuelans are known for being warm, welcoming, and open to share with anyone of any culture, proving their desires for equality.
